The Romantic Norfolk Coast
The Romantic Norfolk Coast

The Norfolk coast is famed for its huge expanses of both sand and pebble beaches, salt marshes, intriguing fishing villages and wide, ever-changing skies. Where artists over the centuries have found inspiration for their paintings, photographer John Duckett has sought to capture the most evocative and romantic scenes along the Norfolk coast for inclusion in this book.

From the wild and windswept expanse of theWash, through the traditional seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer, to the port of Great Yarmouth, and everything in between, this superb collection of photographs captures the mood of this special landscape, from stormy and windswept winters to beautiful summer sunsets.

The book is aimed at the romantic within us all – a superb pictorial celebration of one of Britain’s most hauntingly beautiful landscapes.

Norfolk born photographer, John Duckett, focuses on capturing the unique skies and cloudscapes of his native county, making best use of the more dramatic light found at dawn and dusk.

John’s interest in photography began in his teens and he has developed his unique style through experience and experimentation, with different camera settings and filters. For many years he worked in sales, covering the whole of Norfolk, and this stirred his passion for seeing how the light can completely change the atmosphere of a landscape. In recent years he has settled in north Norfolk and devotes more time and passion to his work as a photographer.
