This is a comprehensive walker’s guide to the 683-sqare-mile Yorkshire Dales National Park, which this year celebrates its 50th Anniversary. Through over 30 carefully-planned and meticulously-researched routes, the author takes the reader into the heart of the dales, visiting such well-known destinations as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar, and lesser-known parts such as Wild Boar Fell, Mallerstang and the Howgills. The book is sumptuously illustrated by over 200 of Jerry Rawson's beautiful photographs.

Jerry Rawson is the joint author and photographer for the critically acclaimed Discovering the Moors and Dales of the Peak District and the photographer for Peak District Moods, published by Halsgrove last year. A regular contributor to many outdoor magazines, he lives in Buxton.
