Born in Beverly, Yorkshire in 1933,John Yardley's innate painting talent was finally given free rein in 1986 when, after a career in banking, he developed a highly distinctive impressionistic watercolour technique. He swiftly gained national recognition and, whilst he has subsequently pursued an interest in other media including oil, his watercolours have become widely collected and his painting courses heavily subscribed.

His work is exhibited regularly and has entered major public collections. With over 100 works, many new and none of which have been published previously, and with a comprehensive introduction to the artist and his paintings, this book gives due weight to John Yardley's contribution to the field of landscape watercolour, but also covers his vibrant street scenes, interiors, still lives and oils.

ISBN 184114079, hardback, 238x248mm, 160 pages.
