Acquisitions of Publishers and Lists

Halsgrove has grown both organically through the several hundred titles published annually, many of which are held in print for a considerable number of years, and by the acquisition of a number of lists and publishers.

We continue to seek acquisition opportunities which either deepen our offering in regional markets throughout the UK and Ireland, or strengthen our more general lists and imprints which focus on strands of specialist and niche interest. In this category we currently have particular interest in contemporary art, art history, transport, aviation, military and leisure.

We have considerable experience in structuring acquisitions which have varied from straightforward purchase to using our sales and distribution facilities to provide substantial capital release from publishing assets over time, leading to the acquisition of residual rights.

We would be pleased to hear from publishers who may be considering divestiture of publishing assets which may fall broadly into Halsgrove's areas of operation.
